Emmerdale’s new Woolpack owner ‘sealed’ as fans work out killer Meena will buy the pub

The Woolpack, Emmerdale’s iconic pub, will be auctioned off early next month, with distraught owners Chas and Marlon clashing with Cain over his feud with Al – but will it herald the return of the village’s serial killer?

Meena Jutla, Emmerdale’s resident serial killer, could be returning to the village soon, as The Woolpack is up for auction early next month, and she appears set to buy it.

After a fire set by Al Chapman destroyed the pub’s interior, Chas and Marlon Dingle have been left devastated.

And meddling from Chas’ brother Cain exacerbated the problem, as his feud with Al prompted the investors to pull out at the last minute.

The pub will now be auctioned off, and it could sell for a record low price, leaving them bankrupt.

However, some fans believe that Meena will be the pub’s buyer, which would be a huge surprise for the villagers.

She’s currently on the run after being caught kidnapping her sister Manpreet with Vinny Dingle, and she was last seen hitching a ride far away from the Dales on her way out.

She did, however, make a brief appearance when Manpreet awoke in the hospital and mistook a nurse on her ward for her missing sister.

Taking to social media to share their theories, one fan wrote: “Let me guess – Meena will end up owning The Woolpack and turn it into a Sweeney Todd type of thing!”

Another viewer posted: “News just in – Meena buys The Woolpack at auction!”

“I hope Meena buys The Woolpack!” someone else said. “She’ll make a killing!”

Other fans, on the other hand, believe Cain could buy The Woolpack at auction, renovate it, and return it to Chas and Marlon after they disowned him from the family.

Some people are desperate for him to run the bar with his ex-wife Charity, writing: “Chas and Marlon haven’t bothered to pay attention to what Cain has to say. Despite this, they both believed Al’s story! Cain and Charity for the Woolpack’s new landlords!”

Someone else agreed: “I can see Cain buying The Woolpack and giving it to Chas to run.”

“Cain’s gonna buy the pub!” another fan echoed.

Charity’s son Ryan was devastated when he learned that his adoptive mother, Irene, had died – and that he hadn’t picked up the phone to call her on her last day – on Monday night’s episode.

Mackenzie was there for him, and he was unusually gentle in offering to drive Ryan to his brother’s – even though Charity was too preoccupied with Vanessa to answer her own phone.

ITV broadcasts Emmerdale weeknights at 7 p.m.
