Danniella Westbrook, a former EastEnders actress, wants to join Emmerdale after failing to secure a return to the BBC serial.
Danniella, 48, has played Sam Mitchell in EastEnders for a number of years, as soap fans are well aware. Kim Medcalf has also portrayed the character.
The latter will be reprising his role on the BBC soap in the near future. When it was announced, Danniella was really disappointed.
Danniella has become more philosophical and has her sights set on a move to another serial, according to an interview with Mark Dolan on GB News. “I’m looking forward,” Danniella stated. I grew up in front of the nation thanks to EastEnders. But that was then. Sam Mitchell, I am so sorry for your loss.
“I’d love to do Emmerdale or Corrie,” she says. I’d also like to return to theater acting, which is where it all began for me. I’ll be 50 years old next year, and I’d love to play Momma in Chicago someday.”
Danniella’s desire to join Emmerdale was already known. “I love EastEnders, I love Sam,” she stated last year, “but my dream is Emmerdale.”
“As a country girl, I’d love to be in Emmerdale.” You can see where I reside because I am a horseback rider. Kevin Mathurin, one of my school friends, now plays the vicar in Emmerdale.”
Danniella could be joining Emmerdale alongside another former EastEnder. According to reports, actor Toby-Alexander Smith will be joining the ITV soap in the near future.
Emmerdale’s Amy Walsh’s real-life partner is Toby-Alexander Smith. He may make up to £500,000 a year if he joins Emmerdale, according to reports.
