Jacqui says she’s hoping to perfect her surfing skills this year.

Many hands make light, and as Jacqui (Felicity) demonstrates, working out with others can be just as motivating.

“Last year, my flatmate and co-star Matt Evans (Theo) built a core workout for us both,” she explains – and one look at her body confirms that the routine is effective! “We also meet up with Ethan (Tane) on occasion,” Jacqui adds, insisting that she would rather work out than obsess over diets.

“I hate diets and hope to never do them. I eat whatever I want, whenever I want,” she says. Fitness is also a big priority for Ethan.

He says: “I want to be the best version of myself. Training – whether it be weightlifting or martial arts – is important for my physical and mental health.”

Ada says her son Johnas keeps her motivated.

Ada Nicodemou

Maintaining a healthy lifestyle can be difficult, but Ada (Leah) tells New Idea that her son Johnas, 9, keeps her motivated.

“He has a lot of energy!” “From the moment he wakes up until he goes to sleep, he doesn’t stop,” she laughs.

This year, the actress reveals that she has started doing F45 in order to stay in shape, and that she enjoys her weekly routine of walking at least three to four times. Lynne McGranger, her Home and Away co-star and friend, is by her side (Irene).

“Lynne and I share a dressing room, so we try to go for a walk near work when we have breaks,” she explains. Ada focuses on “being kind to yourself” when it comes to body positivity.

“I try and speak kindly to myself when I can,” she says, adding she often discusses the value of “important role models“ with her son.

Lifting Emily is easy work for Kawa, Nicholas and Ethan (left to right) … just don’t throw her in!

Kawakawa Fox-Reo

Exercise is crucial for Kawakawa (Nikau) to maintain his mental health.

“It is extremely beneficial to my mental health and keeps me on track.” He explains, “If I don’t train, I get a little down.”

While it appears that the entire cast of HAA enjoys working out together, ‘Kawa,’ as his co-stars refer to him, isn’t interested.

He jokes, “They’re all way fitter than I am.” In terms of Nikau, the actor says he has high expectations for him this season.

“I’d like to see the show incorporate more cultural content.” As a Maori male, I’m proud of who I am and want to welcome as many people from all over the world into this world, which I believe is so rich and has so much to offer.”

Emily Weir

Emily (Mackenzie) has learned that her body is capable of so much after two years of lockdowns and change.

“Over the last few years, I’ve learned to value my health and well-being. “The body is a wonderful thing, and taking care of it is crucial,” she says. Emily reveals that she enjoys breaking up her routines in this way.

“I like to mix workouts up, but generally I always do about an hour of cardio and then half an hour of weight training. I also love yoga, and try to stretch and stay aligned as much as I can,” she continues.

Reaching a point of feeling her best is all about self-love for the actress.

“I feel most attractive when I’m well rested and energetic, and making decisions based off self-love and healthy self-talk.”

Nicholas Cartwright

Nicholas (Cash) reveals that eating high-protein meals is a top priority for him in order to maintain his washboard abs.

“I fast every day,” he explains, “so when I eat, I like to have one healthy meal and one meal of literally whatever I want a day.” “Because I’m a vegetarian, I have to make sure I get enough plant-based protein every day.”

When it comes to a cheat meal, nothing beats ice cream. “I get a tub of Ben & Jerry’s ice cream and a lamington from the servo down the road, smash them together, and eat the whole thing,” he laughs.
