‘Fire blew across my window’ Emmerdale’s Paige Sandhu says explosion ‘shook’ dressing room

Paige Sandhu, who plays the villainous nurse Meena Jutla in EMMERDALE, has revealed what viewers can expect from the forthcoming Woolpack explosion.

Emmerdale fans are anticipating a dramatic episode on Christmas Day in which the Woolpack pub catches fire.

The drama was just as intense on set as it would be on our TV screens, according to the actress who plays the killer Meena.

Paige Sandhu, 24, teased that the explosion was “incredible” and so powerful, it shook the entire room.

Paige said: “They filmed the explosion at the back of the pub first and the explosion at the front second.

“I was in my dressing room for the second explosion and the fire blew across my window and shook the entire room.

“It was incredible!”

Paige told OK! that she is looking forward to seeing how the explosion plays out, so she will be watching on Christmas Day.

She will also be watching because her grandmother is a “huge Emmerdale fan”.

Thankfully, soap opera fans won’t have to wait until Christmas night to see the drama develop.

The Emmerdale and Coronation Street Christmas episodes will be released early on the ITV Hub, allowing fans to catch up on all the excitement before it airs on television.

Both soaps will be available on the ITV Hub from 7 a.m. on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and Boxing Day, ahead of their evening broadcasts.

After bumping off countless locals, evil Meena has become one of the soap’s major antagonists.

After being dumped by Billy Fletcher, she appears to be on the lookout for her next victim (Jay Kontzie).

Billy will break up with Meena and tell her he wants to be in a relationship with Dawn Taylor in yet-to-air scenes (Olivia Bromley).

Speaking to Express.co.uk, Paige explained that Meena wants “any excuse to kill”.

She continued: “I think when Meena is in a relationship she wants to fully possess them and own them.

“Any close relationship to that person, be that child, grandfather, or else she is going to want to take them away from them so she gets all of that attention.

“Dawn is a big threat so she’s in trouble.”

It has been suggested that Meena murder Billy in front of Dawn in order to inflict the greatest amount of pain on her.

“[Meena] wants to get revenge on Dawn and wreck her life,” Paige continued.

Emmerdale airs on ITV weekdays at 7 p.m.
