Former Coronation Street star has announced she’s expecting her first child

Congratulations have been flooding in after former Coronation Street actress Victoria Ekanoye announced that she’s expecting.
Victoria is six months pregnant with her and boyfriend Jonny Lomas’s first child and she’s due to give birth in January.
The couple waited until now to announce the happy news because Victoria has sickle cell anemia, a blood cell disorder in which there aren’t enough healthy red blood cells to carry oxygen throughout the body and is regarded as a high risk pregnancy.

Victoria, 37, was diagnosed with the condition when she was 22. Victoria, who is being cared for by St Mary’s Hospital in Manchester, is likely to be induced around week 39.

The actress, who played Angie Appleton in Corrie, revealed the news in an interview with Hello! magazine.

And her former Corrie co-stars have rushed to congratulate her.
