Johnny Ruffo, the former star of Home and Away, has provided a new update on his battle with brain cancer, sharing details from his radiation treatment.
Johnny shared a photo of himself undergoing the treatment on Instagram on Wednesday, in which he can be seen wearing a white plastic mesh mask across his entire face.
“Another round of radiation on the cards,” he wrote in the caption. “Still fighting this mofo!! #f**kcancer.”
He also included a second photo, this time of the entrance to the radiation room where he received treatment.
Fans and friends flooded the singer’s post with messages of support, including well-wishes from his former Home and Away cast members.
“Love you honey. See you in a few weeks,” Lynne McGranger wrote, followed by Penny McNamee who said: “Lots of love Ruffo.
“Emily Symons also commented, writing, “Sending you so much love Johnny,” as did Georgie Parker who shared, “Love to you mate.”
Many more followed suit in the comments section, expressing their love, support, and encouragement for Johnny.
Tahnee Sims, Johnny’s girlfriend, was not far behind, and in response to his post, she posted her own message on her Instagram Stories.
“There are no words for his fighting spirit,” she penned. “In awe of him every single day.”
Johnny’s latest update comes months after his previous one in September 2021, when he shared a photo of himself and Tahnee walking together.
“I’m still kicking along with my chemotherapy treatment, feeling pretty exhausted but I’m doing great otherwise & not giving up the fight,” he said.
“Thanks for all the support!!” he added.
