Former Home and Away actress Tammin Sursok has offered a look at her health and beauty secrets, and revealed why she syncs her cycle to her workouts for her dream physique.
For her youthful appearance, the 37-year-old mother of one uses a combination of a vegetarian diet, plenty of minerals and herbs, including the stress-relieving Ashwaganda, and non-toxic skin and beauty products.
She also schedules her workouts around her menstrual cycle, preferring high-intensity activities such as running and cycling in the first half and low-intensity activities such as yoga and walks in the second.
Tammin told FEMAIL, “I follow cycle syncing, which is a practice I learned from a great book called Women Code.”
‘According to the book, you should do different workouts depending on where you are in your cycle.’
Tammin said she does all of her HIIT workouts in the first half of her cycle, when she typically feels the most energized.
This appears to be running and cycling for the actress.
‘Then, in the second half, which starts with ovulation and lasts 14 days,’ Tammin explained, ‘I slow down and focus on yoga and hiking.’
The 37-year-old couples her regular workouts with a healthy diet filled with vegetarian foods.
‘My whole family follows a vegetarian/vegan diet, so I’m always looking for good supplements to make sure we get the right nutrients into our family,’ Tammin said.
‘I am a big advocate for vitamins, minerals, adaptogens and herbs.
‘My favourites are magnesium, L’theanine, Ashwaganda and Reishi.’
Magnesium is said to help replenish muscle stores, while Ashwaganda is said to help with stress and relaxation, and Reishi is said to boost the immune system.
Tammin’s beauty secrets include being honest with her skin in order to maintain her youthful appearance as she approaches 40.
‘I discovered Edible Beauty six months ago and am now a firm believer in it,’ she said.
‘It’s an Australian-founded natural, vegan, non-toxic brand that has completely transformed the texture, tone, and elasticity of my skin.’
Tammin likes the Number 1 cleansing milk, Number 2 citrus toner mist, and Number 3 ageless serum in particular.
She also likes the Deep Sea Collagen Elixir, Gold Rush Eye Cream and the Beauty Reset Drops at night.
Prices start from around $20 online for Edible Beauty products.

‘They’re with me everywhere I go.’
