On the set of their hit show Home And Away, they might be the best of friends, but actors James Stewart and Ditch Davey welcomed some friendly competition all in the name of sport on Wednesday night.
The near friends got together to watch the second game of the State Of Origin rugby league season, which sees NSW fight it out against Queensland for the duration of three weeks, to enjoy a cozy night in front of the TV with a bottle of wine in hand.

Ditch, who plays neurosurgeon Dr. Christian Green, posted a selfie with James with the caption: “Mate v mate,” on Instagram to record their mate date.
Proud Queenslander James dons his maroon jersey in the shot, while Ditch wears a blue scarf to depict his NSW alliance.
“A similar pic was posted and captioned by James, who plays Justin Morgan on the show:” QUEENSLANDAHHH!!!!!<br>Both posts were both flooded with remarks from proud NRL backers.
“One person wrote,” I love @jamesstewart as much as I love …. Go the Blues!!!
“Ditch will soon have bragging rights over James. Not long to go now,” said a second.
“Love you both, but you’re a goner, James lol, without the NSW surgeon,” another teased. A passionate QLD supporter noted, “Mighty maroons all the way”.Another eagle-eyed fan was swift to point out local Ditch from former Melbourne, writing: “Omg in this photo you look so Melbourne. You make me want to go to QLD.” “Is that a scarf or a tan?” asked Ditch.
‘The chardonnay,’ they replied.”Clearly, it’s pinot grigio … Oh good, I see that now,” chuckled the 48-year-old. Meanwhile, James and Ditch’s co-star Bridie Carter also shared in the ribbing, drawing on “Hmmmmmm.” under James’ snap. Unfortunately for James, the Blues defeated Queensland 34-10. Ditch has formed a close bond with James since joining the show earlier in the year and the pair are often seen hanging out together offset. He’s a good professional, funny and articulate. Bromance.
