Home and Away brings back missing character in latest Australian episode

Some UK viewers may prefer to avoid Home and Away spoilers from Tuesday’s Australian episode (March 22), which include details of a recent on-screen death.

Marilyn Chambers has returned to Home and Away after a hiatus from Summer Bay.

Marilyn, played by Emily Symons, has been missing from the show in recent weeks due to her role in a major plotline.

After acting out of character and snapping at her loved ones with some harsh comments, the fan favorite realized she needed some time away.

Marilyn was in danger after the gas attack at Salt, but doctors later discovered that the sudden change in her personality was purely psychological.

Marilyn was back at the Stewart house in Tuesday’s episode on Channel 7 in Australia, catching up with Roo.

Marilyn had enjoyed her time away with Raffy Morrison, a former foster child.

“It was so lovely to see Raffy – and Brody’s baby is gorgeous,” she told Roo.

When asked about her own mental state, Marilyn revealed: “I’m fine. I’m in excellent health.”

Marilyn seemed to have regained her composure as she explained that she had needed to “find some perspective” during her break.

“Everything else just fell into place,” she added.

Now that Marilyn was back, she had a lot to catch up on, including the sad news of Martha Stewart’s continued ill health and Ari Parata’s recent death.

Marilyn also stated that she hoped to reclaim her position at the Diner.

Marilyn returned to her job as a customer service representative at the local business after an off-screen conversation with Irene Roberts.

While Marilyn has returned, Leah Patterson is currently absent from the show.

Following her trip to Cyprus, Leah took a detour to visit her brother Dimitri in the city, according to recent episodes.

Marilyn will be back on Channel 5 on April 27 for fans of Home and Away in the UK.
