James Stewart, star of Home and Away, has been playing Justin Morgan since 2016. Off-show, fans are frequently surprised to learn that he has an identical twin.
James Stewart, star of Home and Away, frequently astounds fans by revealing that he has an identical twin brother.
Since arriving in Summer Bay in 2016, the 47-year-old actor—who originally played Justin Morgan on the serial opera—has grown to become one of Australia’s most well-known performers. During an appearance on The Morning Show last month, the soap actress went down memory lane with Kylie Gillies and Larry Emdur.
He reminisced about his childhood as a number of photos were displayed of him and his twin brother, Nick Stewart. Larry asked: “Were you the naughty one or the cool one because there’s always a naughty one.”
To which James responded: “We always swapped. We blamed each other.” A photo appeared of James and Nick posing alongside their daughters, with the actor noting the girls’ similarities due to shared DNA.
“Yeah they’re about 14 months apart. Because (me and Nick) have got the same DNA, the girls have the same DNA in them,” he explained. “It’s a science thing. Won’t go into it but they look exactly the same don’t they?”
James shares 11-year-old Scout with ex-fiancé Jessica Marais, who he met on the set of Packed to the Rafters in 2009. James has shared plenty of snaps of him and his brother over the years and left fans stunned in 2018 as many weren’t aware of his twin sibling.
He wrote the caption: “Same same, but different,” followed by the hashtags #family and #twins. Fans flooded the comments as one wrote: “OMG, you’re a twin? Never knew that!”
“I got so confused,” added a second, admitting she thought she was seeing double by mistake. A third agreed: “I had no idea you were and are a twin!!” While another baffled fan penned: “Is there 2 of you ? WTF ???”
Nick once made a cameo appearance on Home and Away back in 2020. Sharing a snap from inside the Diner, Nick and James posed alongside several cast members, including Irene Roberts star Lynne McGranger, Alf Stewart actor Ray Meagher and Penny McNamee, who played James’ on-screen sister Tori Morgan.
“That one time there were 3 ‘Stewarts’ in Summer Bay!” he captioned the picture, followed by the hashtag: “#flaminggalah”.
