Home and Away review: Jasmine bails Colby out for a lot of money and we still don’t know who Witness X is

I love Jasmine Delaney bloodily. When I was given this task, I never imagined that I would applaud Bachelorette Sam Frost for her acting, but here I am. For the first time since Colby ‘s capture, Angelo makes an appearance and she provides him with a servant.

Why don’t you just confess that you got it for Colby, because your wife was sleeping with him? “Says Jasmine.

Irene is surprised that Jasmine could say such a thing to her fragile little butterfly, but if 2020 has taught us anything, it’s not about getting in the way of Jasmine ‘s baby plans. Colby was given bail anyway, but it’s a lot of money. The producers don’t tell us that much.

Then, when Nikau comes home and notices that he has disturbed them, it starts with Ziggy filling Mac in about the murder.

Mac thinks up some extra cautions about Ari being extra, and that’s why he stays with her. Her anger at Dean, her brother, is bubbling away all the while.

Mac looks for Dean and gives him a big slap in the face.

Mac says to Dean, “I know, Ziggy told me something.”

Dean responds, “I know Colby did a bad thing, but he’s not a bad guy.”

But I’m on one side of the Mac.

Colby shot somebody and then shot about 10 others. All right, I’m exaggerating a little bit, but I’ve lost count of how many people know about the murder of Ross.

I truly believe, too, that the letter Bella wrote to Irene, the one that fell on the back of the bed, will soon come into play. Only put it out there with that idea.

As Taylor struggles to get her massage table in the car, there is a brief intermission from the drama, which I find totally absurd because she will be lugging it all the time in and out of the car.

Colby, Bella and Willow arrive home from the city and it appears Jasmine bailed Colby out and used dead Robbo’s gym as collateral.

“He’s always been there for me,” Jas says.

Yeah … I don’t know about it. Since May, I’ve been watching every night, and apart from a “drunken” kiss, Colby and Jasmine are hardly ever together and I say “drunken” because they have a sip of a tiny beer and are suddenly soooo drunk.

But she’s desperate for a kid, like I said, and I truly don’t think that if she knew the truth about Colby, she would change her mind. He’s still the most qualified guy in town. Even though John Palmer just got on Tinder, watch out for the girls.

Jas says, referring to baby Gracie, “I am going to make sure her first birthday is the best birthday ever.”

That means that it’s going to be a tragedy, and I can’t wait.

Back to Colby and co. and he doesn’t know who Witness X is, either.

Bella thinks the police are bluffing, but with the most righteous tone I’ve ever heard, Colby pipes up.

“I’ve seen murder trials that take six months to find a date, so they’re claiming it’s going to be weeks for me,” Colby says.

They’re going through all the people who know about the murder and who may have deceived Colby. Just about everybody’s name comes up, including Chelsea, who I think is Colby’s ex-wife, and Taylor, of course.

My hypothesis of Taylor being planted right from the start seems to be real, and she says something to Mac about not being able to leave the Bay, which would have to be Angelo blackmailing her to be the witness.

Naturally, after that little conversation, Colby is no longer so relaxed and he needs to release somebody’s rage.

And that person is Ziggy, who broke up with Dean because she couldn’t handle the reality and moved to Tane promptly, even though they didn’t kiss or anything, but we’re prepared for it.

Angelo gets on the phone and demands that one of the names of the witnesses be suppressed because he feels they may be in “grave risk.”

I don’t think the pun is intense, dead Ross was buried in a shallow grave, but since I love a bad pun, I’ll send the writers this one.

So the producers want us to believe that Ziggy is Witness X, but that would be too straightforward, so I’m going to be re-written into the show with someone more mysterious, like an old character and hiding in the bushes watching the murder all the time. Or himself Colby.

Dean then tells Ziggy that she did the right thing to break up with him.

“For all of this, you’re way too sweet,” Dean says to Ziggy.

Perhaps not because Ziggy was recently indoctrinated into a life of crime.

For the first time and for days, Nikau goes home to his real place. He (of course) leaves the front door open and not only finds that no one is home, but the window is also boarded up.

Then, he’s soaked in sweat and storms into Salt and asks Mac for answers because he just had no idea that his uncles were digging into a deep pit themselves.
