Home and Away star reveals she’s written a ‘raw, honest and real’ book about mental health

After revealing that she has written a book, Sam Frost may now add published author to her resume.

On Tuesday, the 32-year-old Home and Away actress unveiled her new book, Believe, which will be released on March 30.

‘I’m very excited to announce, I wrote a book!!!!!!’ she captioned a photo of herself holding a copy.

‘I teamed up with my beautiful sister Kristine, and @hachetteaus to create BELIEVE – it’s all about mental health from my own personal experience.

‘It’s raw, honest, and real. I don’t pretend to have all the answers, I’m still working it out myself.’

Sam then went on to discuss her own mental health issues, saying that she still struggles with them.

‘I know what it feels like to lose all hope, to be surrounded by darkness… not knowing how I can possibly get through another day,’ she continued.

‘I’ve lived it, and I have got through it… (and tumbled backward many, many times).’

She concluded: ‘This is my story. One I feel very proud to share. It’s about finding strength, courage, resilience, and hope while learning life’s big lessons along the way.

‘I hope this book will help you feel less alone and gives you light when you need it the most.’

Sam confessed she suffers from ‘anxiety triggered weight loss’ in a candid Instagram Story last month.

Sam discussed her mental health initiative, Believe by Sam Frost, in an interview with The Daily Telegraph in June.

The actress and her sister, Kristine, who works as a youth mentor, founded the initiative in 2015, which hosts mental health courses.

She said the Believe community has also helped her through some dark times.

‘Whenever I’m feeling down and out, or the weight of the world feels heavy, I get messages from our community saying how much we’ve changed their life and how they’ve never been more positive,’ she said.
