Lynne McGranger has caused concern after sharing images of her gory injuries.
The Home and Away veteran posted the images to Instagram on Tuesday – but luckily, it was all just special effects makeup.
The 71-year-old was busy working on set, filming a scene for the soap in which her character, Irene, was in a hospital bed.
The slash to her forehead, which was stitched up, was provided by Home and Away makeup artist Hilary Middlebrook.
She captioned the photos ‘Irene’s drunken fall’ and Lynne was quick to reply in the comments.
‘Very impressed Hils you clever girl. Miss you,’ she wrote.
It not the first time Lynne has sparked concerns after sharing an image in which she looks injured – but last time, it was real.
Last year, she posted a photo in which she had grazes on her nose, right cheek and chin after suffering a nasty fall.
Lynne’s celebrity pals were left horrified by the shocking photo.
‘Oh gosh Lynnie! Sending love – I was hoping that was onset makeup,’ wrote her co-star Sarah Roberts.
‘Damn, that looks pretty badass! Hope you’re all good though Lynne,’ added fellow Summer Bay veteran Ethan Browne.
Other prominent figures chipped in with their own well-wishes.
‘Oh, take care of yourself x,’ TV presenter Myf Warhurst chipped in, while My Kitchen Rules star Blake Proud wrote: ‘OMG. We hope you’re okay!’
Meanwhile, her son-in-law’s mother was quick to dispel any wrongdoing.
‘And I promise I didn’t trip or push her. Poor love, it wasn’t a good sight,’ she wrote.
Lynne also shared another image to Instagram prior to her accident, where the veteran actor is seen smiling with her son-in-law’s mother with a black dog in her lap.

Alongside the pictures the soap star explained what happened.
‘One minute walking your daughter and son-in-law’s dog with your MOG (mother of the groom) Nek minit you’ve face planted the road,’ she wrote.
Lynne has played Irene Roberts on Home and Away since 1993, after taking over the role from actress Jacquy Phillips.
The veteran actress is one of the longest-serving stars on the Australian soap.
In 2021, Lynne published a memoir Acting Up: Me, Myself And Irene in which she revealed her struggles with drugs and an eating disorder.
