Her lies catch up with her.
Home and Away airs a dramatic downfall for Bronte Langford on UK screens next week.
Bronte pushes her luck too far as she tries to cover up the shock kidnap of her nemesis Dana Matheson.
This week’s episodes see Bronte and her secret accomplice Chase abduct Dana from her home, fearing that she’ll expose the truth over their cash con.
Needing to cover her tracks, Bronte then announces that Dana has gone away for a few days and asked her to pass the message on.
Dana’s boyfriend Xander Delaney finally starts to question Bronte’s lies, wondering why Dana would share her plans with the very person she’s been clashing with for weeks.
Bronte later tells another lie by claiming that Dana phoned Irene’s landline to reveal that she’s away on a silent retreat.
Xander struggles to believe this story too, as he knows that Dana wouldn’t give up her mobile phone for a retreat. He’s also baffled that she’d call Irene’s landline, which is barely used.
When Dana doesn’t show up for work with no explanation, John Palmer also becomes suspicious.
Bree Cameron overhears Xander and John comparing notes over the situation, so she tips them off over how Bronte has been lying over her medical appointments.
Xander and John decide to approach police constable Rose Delaney with their findings and she agrees to speak to Bronte, who continues to lie.
Meanwhile, Dana is held captive by Chase in a shipping container but she spies an opportunity to attack him and escape.
Dana manages to get a head-start on the villain, but a dangerous cat and mouse game follows as he tries to get her back in his clutches.
Back in the Bay, Xander and John witness yet more evidence of Bronte’s deceit as they see her fleeing from the Bay in Irene Roberts’ car.
They decide to follow Bronte, tracking her down to a quarry in the middle of nowhere.
Bronte joins forces with Chase to get Dana back, unaware that Xander and John aren’t far behind. Can Xander and John come to Dana’s rescue in time?
Home and Away airs these scenes on Monday, August 19 and Tuesday, August 20 on Channel 5.
