Home & Away star Rebecca Breeds’ HUGE new show is here, and it is absolutely haunting

For us Aussies, there’s nothing more exciting than seeing one of our own achieve tremendous success, particularly when they come from humble beginnings on beloved soaps such as Home And Away.

As she highly awaited new series Clarice draws tantalizing close to its release date, Summer Bay ex-pat, Rebecca Breeds, is making waves in Hollywood.

“a deep dive into the untold personal story of brilliant and vulnerable FBI Agent Clarice Starling as she returns to the field in 1993, six months after the events of The Silence of the Lambs.” a deep dive into the brilliant and vulnerable FBI Agent Clarice Starling’s untold personal story as she returns to the field in 1993, six months after The Silence of the Lambs events.

Now, fans have been treated to a first look at the show scheduled for release in February 2021. And, as we would expect from a show based on such a scary and popular film franchise, this is a goosebump-inducing.

We see a crime scene in the brief teaser where a body is pulled from a river, cut with footage of a butterfly (the famous symbol from the movies) until a male voice asks, “What do you do with all your rage?”

FBI agent Clarice Starling, a character previously played by Jodie Foster in Silence of the Lambs in 1991, and Julianne Moore in Hannibal in 2001, plays Rebecca’s main role.

Rebecca expressed her excitement after the news first broke on Twitter, writing “Thank you for the role of a lifetime. Think I’ve earned myself a nice glass of Chianti…”

It has yet to be decided exactly how viewers down under will watch the show, but given that Clarice was picked up by CBS, which has connections to Channel 10 here, we might probably see it pop up on the local channel.

From 2008 to 2012, Rebecca previously played Ruby Buckton on Home and Away and met her now-husband, Luke Mitchell, on the soap cast.

In 2019, speaking to TV WEEK, Luke credited his wife with being the secret to his global success.

“I don’t think I could have done what I’ve done overseas if it weren’t for Bec, “I’m a very lucky guy.”I’m a very lucky guy.”I don’t think I could have done what I did overseas if it weren’t for Bec.
