Home and Away review: Sex, drugs and hospital beds
Tane is still hospitalized. He keeps up the grunting, but he has few lines, which really improves his reputation as a slightly dense guy.
Nikau heard the news and paid a visit to his uncle. Even at this point, we don’t find out how Tane got so badly wounded that he ripped his liver.
Instead, we are compelled to read between the lines, something very rare in Home and Abroad, and those baddies are likely to rough him up because the hijacked van is full of cocaine. That’s a lot of medication today.
Tane says like a robot, “I didn’t know it was drugged until it was too late,” so as not to concern himself when enjoying his own drugs.
But never fear, Nikau is a man of gallant deeds, and he asks Bella to travel with him to New Zealand. Two 19-year-olds who are already in the early days of their relationship will be able to pick up their lives and start a fresh one.
It’s clear that Tori is very worried about her forthcoming sex appointment with Budget McDreamy, which was arranged a few days earlier, while back in the hospital.
They’re doing their normal complex mixed signals back and forth, and Tori wants Budget McDreamy to fight with her. Yet apart from his eccentric wardrobe (not on show today), he’s basically a rational guy and until she’s ready, he doesn’t want to push her into a friendship or sex.
This confuses Tori, though, because she wasn’t with a considerate guy before? Uh, so grim.
Tori thinks she has to make her intentions clear and she calls him for an unofficial company in her office and “lays out the cards,” which undoubtedly does the trick.
In a fun way, things heat up before Tori freaks out and calls it off.
Tori, her newborn Gracie, Justin, and Leah go home to Maz.
Tori tells them, “I made a move on Christian and then I kicked him out of my office.”
In his normal way of closing his face, Justin responds so he does not even listen to the slightest details about the sex life of his girlfriend. Grow up, Justin. Now you have cancer.
Anyway, the idea of McDreamy taking on some kind of father figure in the life of baby Gracie, the living memory of dead Robbo, is a touch of residual beef between Budget McDreamy and Jasmine, but they clear the air from the camera.
Tori visits her sexy doc and it seems like things are back on track.
Or I hope so because it gets to me this nonsense on again off again thing. Tori is a powerful independent woman who runs the whole hospital basically, so say and be done with your man.
