Home And Away viewers have grown to enjoy the bubbly and glamorous Georgie Parker for over a decade now who plays the famous character, Roo Stewart.

Following Justine Clarke, who quit in 1989, Georgie was the second actress to play Roo when she joined the show in 2010 to take on the feisty daughter of Summer Bay stalwart Alf.

Nevertheless, she made a big impact on viewers and co-stars, marking 10 years in October with the soap.

Her fellow Summer Bay residents are now paying tribute to her on her 56th birthday, a rather unusual, although separate, sort of landmark.

Emily Symons began the celebration early, driving Georgie out to Sydney for lunch.

“Thanks for my beautiful, early, birthday lunch @emilysymons “Thanks for my lovely, early birthday lunch @emilysymons
Emily followed up with her co-star with another series of stunning pictures to mark the real day, and the next step is the relationship goals.

She shared “Happy birthday to my ride or die @georgieparker 💖 Love you 💞”.

Patrick O’Connor, who plays the show’s Dean, praised Georgie’s love of taking pictures in a cheeky selfie.

Of course, a birthday tribute to Georgie was also posted on the official Home And Away Instagram page, which was greeted with even more good wishes from fans and co-stars.

Rob Kipa-Williams commented, “Wooooo happy birthday,” before Luke Jacobz added: “Happy birthday Georgie!”

Evan/Owen alias Cameron Daddo, Georgie’s on-screen love, also posted a nice message for the big day.

Ada also added a cheeky post to their last scenes for today’s year as the cast film.
“Happy birthday @georgieparker have a fun location day today with 100 per cent humidity 😄” she captioned.

Georgie talked about her passion for Roo, having played her for a decade now, speaking to TV WEEK about the Home And Away Christmas special.

She says, “Time has flown by! I love this character; she’s so spirited,”

“Playing Alf Stewart’s daughter, I’m also tethered to a much-loved man. I adore Ray, we get along so well and he’s truly the beating heart of the show.”
