ITV Coronation Street fans think they’ve spotted Emmerdale star in a soap

Although there is a lot of soap swapping between actors, viewers rarely see another character in a rival soap.

Fans of Coronation Street thought they saw an Emmerdale star on the show’s most recent double bill.

Stu Carpenter received his first paycheck from Speed Dahl during Monday’s trip to Weatherfield, as seen on the ITV soap.

As he lodges with Yasmeen Metcalfe at No.6, the former homeless character was concerned that he was being paid ‘too much.’ He held onto his pay packet before offering her some money for rent.
While Yasmeen reluctantly agreed to pay £50 per week, she encouraged him to go out and treat himself.

Later, he returned to the Rovers with a new appearance.

Bill Fellows’ character, Stu, went to the store and bought a new “jaunty cap,” which he proudly displayed to Jenny Connor, the landlady.
He then placed his order for a pint before being stung by Tracy Barlow, causing him to leave the Rovers a little tipsy later.

But, according to the Liverpool Echo, Corrie fans were distracted by his resemblance to Emmerdale’s Zak Dingle.

“Since when was Zak Dingle a part of #corrie?” tweeted @DavidMackayy.

“Hell on earth! Zak Dingle has made the switch to #Corrie “said @Samanth22356123

Corrie viewers, on the other hand, were left in stitches as Stu got even with Tracy.

As he stumbled out of the pub, he noticed a box outside the door of the house she shares with her husband Steve McDonald and daughter Amy.

Tracy had already boasted about her father sending her some expensive wine as a Christmas present.

He then knelt to pick up the box and carried the booze back to his house.
