Alexandra Mardell, a regular on Corrie, looked stunning as she relaxed on a fairytale holiday after leaving the renowned cobbles.
Alexandra has finished filming her final scenes on Coronation Street after four years as cheerful Emma Brooker.
And the 28-year-old actress has been relaxing with her boyfriend Joe Parker after being in the center of the drama as part of a huge death cover-up scenario.
Alexandra posted photos of herself on Instagram pouring a bottle of champagne while wearing a green patterned bikini.
In the lovely village of Grasmere in the Lake District, the soap star was all smiles as she raised a glass while relaxing back in a hot tub with stunning views.
“Just a place of rest for the wicked,” she captioned a series of photos on Instagram.
“I’m staying in the loveliest fairytale cottage I’ve ever seen!”
“Thank you very much to Carys at @sykescottages for your assistance in locating our ideal getaway #maryscottage.”
“Beautiful,” wrote hughestracey995.
“Looks just stunning, enjoy yourselves x,” remarked mand fox.
Alexandra stated earlier this month that she was quitting the show for greener pastures.
Although Alexandra’s final scenes as Emma aren’t due to air until April, she spent her final day on set.
As soon as her final scene was through, the actress ‘ugly cried.’
Team Corrie also gave her an unique farewell gift: a silver necklace inscribed with the date of her first appearance on the cobbles, 20.04.18.
She was accompanied by co-stars at her farewell party, including Simon Gregson, who plays her on-screen father Steve McDonald.
She also claimed to have a ‘facial ache from smiling.’
In Weatherfield, she made her debut as an apprentice hairdresser at Audrey Roberts’ shop.
Most lately, Emma and her closest friend Faye Windass have been covering up the death of an elderly man named Ted after they inadvertently ran him down during Faye’s driving lesson on New Year’s Day.
After taking him home instead of calling an ambulance, the girls discovered him dead in his armchair.
Craig, Faye’s police officer lover, has since resigned the force after deciding to support his girlfriend and disclosed everything to her.
Meanwhile, despite Faye’s warnings, Emma attended Ted’s funeral and ended up speaking with Ted’s grieving grandson.
She had no idea she was working and living on the same street as her biological father Steve when she first moved to Weatherfield, since it turned out that his ex-wife Fiona Middleton was her mother.
Her fiance Curtis Delamere, who suffers from factitious disease, in which someone deceives others by feigning illness, was wrongfully accused of stealing £100,000 earmarked for a charity in memory of her half brother Oliver Battersby at Christmas.
She kicked him out on their wedding day, only to find out later that he was completely innocent and that the money had gone through owing to a technical glitch.
Iain MacLeod, a producer on Coronation Street, said that the Ted plot will eventually lead to Emma’s departure.
“Big-hearted Emma has gotten herself into a huge pickle, one that will eventually force her to say goodbye to the cobblestones,” Iain explained.
“At least for the time being… Alexandra has been pure Corrie gold since the first episode in 2018, and I’m sure fans will miss Emma’s cheery, cheeky charm as much as I will.
“Alexandra has made a lasting mark on the Street, and I wish her all the best in her future endeavors.”
