In the upcoming months, Danielle Harold will depart from the soap opera.
The terrible death of Danielle Harold’s character Lola Pearce will be depicted in some heartbreaking EastEnders scenes.
The Sun reports that the fan favorite, whose departure was announced earlier this year, will get a deadly brain tumor.
According to RadioTimes.com, the soap has been preparing this tragic plot for some time, and it will run later this year. On this delicate plotline, EastEnders executives have been collaborating closely with brain tumor groups.
A representative for EastEnders declined to comment.
Harold’s exit from the soap opera is one of many cast changes that have already been made public.
Fans may anticipate saying goodbye to Lola, Ricky Champ’s Stuart Highway, Dayle Hudson’s Peter Beale, Barbara Smith’s Dana Monroe, and Kelsey Calladine-Jada Smith’s Lennox during the upcoming months, though specifics of their departures have not yet been made public.
The departures coincide with the BBC soap’s new executive producer Chris Clenshaw taking over.
Previously, a source had stated to Metro.co.uk: “Since January, he has been working diligently behind the scenes to change things up, which will include saying goodbye to some characters.
“Nothing personal about any of the cast members leaving; it’s just a creative choice. Because of the nature of soap operas, it’s necessary to say goodbye to characters in order for major storylines to progress.
“Chris has some really huge stories planned, and people will start seeing his stuff during the summer,” said a source.
