Spoilers for the upcoming week of August 19–23 on The Young and the Restless highlight a ton of drama, including unexpected admissions, characters being forced into difficult situations, and possibly shattered relationships. Not only that, though. This week in Genoa City is going to be intense, no doubt.
Discover and Destroy
Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) is in fine form. For now, he has shoved his resentments against Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) aside in favor of “saving” Chancellor from Billy (Jason Thompson) Abbott’s influence.
Suddenly, he receives damaging information about an adversary. It’s safe to say said adversary is Billy Boy Abbott, right? Wonder if he uses this key piece of intel to back Billy into a corner. While it seems like Victor’s on the verge of winning, we’re not counting Billy out just yet. There must be more to come.
Insider Then Out?
Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) is completely on board with her husband acquiring Chancellor. She seems to like the idea of being the boss of her late friend’s company. In fact, she gets a little help from someone on the inside, namely Lily (Christel Khalil), when she feeds Nikki inside information. Yikes. Will this move backfire on Lily?
It just might when Billy makes a tough decision. If you’ve seen the sneak peek for next week on Y&R, Billy kicks his co-CEO to the curb. So, not only is he going to NOT take a backseat, but he wants the only seat at the table. Question: can Jill (Jess Walton) heal from her health problems? Because we need her presence. And more importantly, we need Lily to start her own company and forget about these men who continually (try to) hold her back. Lose the baggage, Lily. Lose the baggage.
Odds and Ends
Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) will be responsible for next week’s confession component. Keeping the secret that she and Adam (Mark Grossman) slept together in Baltimore has been eating her up. Look for her to ultimately make a shocking confession. But, honestly, is it going to be shocking? Because Sally (Courtney Hope) and Billy overheard something sus. This will simply confirm what Billy’s been thinking all along.
Meanwhile, Jack plots to destroy Victor’s alliance with Kyle (Michael Mealor). He knows his boy is stubborn as hell. So, how is he prepared to do this? Kyle likes that he’s at the top of the food chain at Glissade. He wants to prove he can be a bigger success than his dad ever was. What will Jack brainstorm to cut the cord between Kyle and Victor?
Finally, Audra (Zuleyka Silver) and Kyle do the unthinkable. They call a truce. It’s about time because if they want to get anything done at Glissade, they will have to work together as a team. Now, who wants to tell Summer (Allison Lanier) that Kyle and Audra are on the same page? Not us.
