Why is Amy Walsh leaving Emmerdale as Tracy Metcalfe?

Tracy made her debut appearance on the serial in 2014, when she chose to meet Sam Dingle (James Hooton) in person.

She met Sam under a false name after they had been speaking online.

Before departing the village, the Guest Liaison at The Grange B&B cheated Sam out of money.

She made a comeback a year later and attempted to turn her life around, but things did not always go as planned.
She was invited to present at a symposium on postnatal depression in the most recent scenes.

Frankie Robinson, her own child, was born shortly after this.

She was asked if she was interested in joining the charity after talking out about her experiences.

She pondered her options because she didn’t feel prepared at first.

She took the post out of a desire to serve people and atone for her mistakes.

She hugged her friends and family in an emotional goodbye, leaving Nate (Jurell Carter) distraught.

The actress is currently on maternity leave, which is why she is quitting the series.

Walsh was expecting her first child with Toby-Alexander Smith, her EastEnders co-star.

She posted an Instagram photo of herself and Smith peering over a pram on January 2.

She stated, ” “So…

She said: “Well…it’s been a busy week! Hope you all had a good one. HAPPY NEW YEAR from the three of us xxx”

Walsh revealed that she had booked a modest farewell dinner with some of her Emmerdale co-stars.

Her baby shower was recently held with some famous people from the program.

The 34-year-old was getting ready to welcome her first child husband Gray Atkins.

Without the pressures of employment, she can spend more time bonding with her new family.

Walsh said she identified with her character because she is committed to social change.

“That’s what drives her forward in leaving the village, leaving Nate, and taking Frankie, because it’s an opportunity for her not just to feel good about herself and change her life, but also to not rely on another man to let her down again,” she said.

“But it’s also an opportunity for her to help others.”

“It’s the first time she feels like she might be excellent at something, which I think is critical because she really needs it.”

In terms of whether Tracy will return, it appears like the door has been left open for her in the future.

There’s a chance she’ll return or maybe pay a visit to see how her loved ones are doing.

This isn’t likely to be Tracy’s final appearance in front of the camera.
