Esther Anderson initially grabbed our hearts on Home And Away in 2008, when she played Charlie Buckton, a police sergeant at the Bay’s local cop shop.
The TV WEEK Gold Logie nominee’s most important task these days is being a mother to her lovely three-year-old son Forest.
In 2013, the 42-year-old retired from Summer Bay and relocated to Hollywood, where she met her now-husband Howard Moggs.
Esther and Howard married in 2017 and had their first child, Forest, a year later. They couldn’t be happier parents.
Forest, who Esther describes as a “wonderful little soul,” is often gushed over by the couple on social media.
Esther lives in Los Angeles with her husband, advertising executive Howard Moggs, and their three-year-old son, Forest.
Esther previously said that juggling motherhood and a small child has been interesting.
“I’ve had to take him to a couple of auditions when I haven’t been able to get a babysitter last minute,” Esther revealed. “It’s challenging but for the most part we’ve done pretty well.”
“Our darling boy Forest Jack Moggs is here and arrived weighing 8.5lbs,” Esther wrote on Instagram following her first son’s birth in August 2018.
“We couldn’t be more in love with this beautiful little soul.”
“We didn’t make it to see Santa ???but on another note Forrys little cheeks matched the baubles on the tree and he was happy,” Esther wrote on Instagram in 2019 alongside this sweet festive photo.
The Home and Away alum paid a touching homage to Forest on Mother’s Day in 2020.
“Thank you my beautiful boy for choosing me as your mum ❤️you are the brightest light in my world and I’m so grateful to be your mamma (even when you don’t eat a meal Iv made that I’m sure you are going to love and you start to cry because it’s so bad ?)”
Esther said there are many aspects of life in Australia that she misses, and she hasn’t ruled out returning to raise Forest there.
“There is still a part of me that would love to be close to my family, and Howard is definitely open to living in Australia at some point,” she said.
“So lucky to be your mum Forry. Greatest gift in the world you are,” Esther penned.
Esther spoke out about how the epidemic had affected Forest in September of last year.
“On top of all your normal 2 year old challenges, I think this whole year and what it has brought with it can’t help but affect him too (no matter how much I’ve tried to protect him from it all, sometimes you still feel like you’re falling short),” she penned.
“I hope all the mamas out there who are feeling a bit overwhelmed with the restrictions and parenting and everything else the pandemic has thrust upon us aren’t being too hard on themselves.”
Esther shared this adorable photo of Forest’s first movie experience.
“Such a great movie for his first cinema experience ?he wasn’t sure what all the fuss was about to begin with but after seeing it he didn’t want to leave,” she captioned the photo.
“There just aren’t the words to describe how happy we are right now,” the Gold Logie nominee wrote on Instagram ahead of Forest’s birth in 2018.
After arriving in Victoria from the United States last December, the 42-year-old shared this cute photo of herself and Forest.
Esther acknowledged in May of last year that the COVID-19 outbreak was causing her heartstrings to tighten even more.
“It’s made us realise just how important family is and what’s at stake,” she told The Morning Show.
“I’ll definitely be cherishing my time spent in Australia and try and spend more time at home after all of this is over.”
