Alina (Ruxandra Porojnicu) made her return to the cobbles last week with a big baby bombshell, that she had a young son. After her former love rival Fiz (Jennie Mcalpine) bumped into Alina, she quickly realised her husband Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall) could be the father of her child. As fans will recall Tyrone and Alina were in a relationship a few years ago – before Alina left Weatherfield, claiming she wasn’t pregnant. And in her final scene, viewers saw her at the airport departures lounge where she cradled her blossoming baby bump. Now, three years later Alina is back, and when Tyrone found out about her return, he was left reeling. He managed to track her down, where she confessed that he was her son’s father. However, it’s fair to say fans are convinced that Tyrone isn’t actually the real dad of her son. Fans have been quick to share their thoughts on Alina’s baby confession. Some viewers are claiming the real baby daddy could be dead Seb Franklin (Harry Visinoni) – who briefly dated Alina during her first stint on the ITV soap. However, in what would be a huge twist, other viewers are convinced the real father is actually soap legend David Platt (Jack P. Shepherd). Fans will recall the pair ended up sleeping together in a one-night-stand back in 2020. Now, viewers reckon Alina could have secretly had the child off-screen – which would explain why her son looks older than two-years-old. On a Coronation Street Facebook fan page, one person mused: “I think Alina is lying and the baby isn’t Tyrones. She’s up to something.” A second wrote: “She had a night with David Platt. Could definitely be a mini David!” A third penned: “I forgot about this!” Someone else chimed in and mused: “If the baby is older than 2 and he looks it, it could possibly be Davids.” A fifth said: “She did have one night with David and baby kind of looks like him. I think that is why she left rubbing her tummy. She knew it was Davids.”

Coronation Street’s Alina rocked back up to the cobbles this week with her son – and fans reckon they know exactly who the father is

The real father of Coronation Street Alina Pop’s baby has been ‘revealed’ – and it’s not Tyrone Dobbs.

The character, played by Ruxandra Porojnicu. made her shock return to the soap this week. Alina first appeared on the cobbles in 2019 – and had two stints on the long-running show.

She was part of a storyline involving a human trafficking ring which gripped viewers across the country. Loyal fans will remember how Seb Franklin (Harry Visinoni) discovered she had been shipped over to the UK to work at a nail salon.

At the time, her ‘boss’ confiscating her passport to prevent her from returning home. When she finally escaped his from her employer’s cruel grasp, she soon fled the country to reunite with her family.

But she didn’t leave the soap for long, with the actor returning to the soap back in February 2020. Determined to make Coronation Street her home, it wasn’t long before she drove a wedge between Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall) and his long-term partner Fiz (Jennie Mcalpine).

Sparks immediately flew between the two, with Tyrone making the difficult decision to call time on his nine-year relationship with Fiz.

However, the mechanic’s pyromaniac daughter Hope (Isabella Flanagan) wasn’t best pleased with her dad’s new girlfriend. Hellbent on splitting the pair up, she lit a fire in the flat which inevitably caused Alina to miscarry her baby.

In September 2021, the soon-to-be mother decided to jet back to Romania after Tyrone had lied about Hope’s destructive behaviour.

Tyrone managed to stop her when he found her at the Chariot Square Hotel, determined to fight for their relationship and to be a part of his child’s life.

Alina insisted to a pleading Tyrone that she wasn’t pregnant after all and had simply got her dates muddled up. But shortly before she boarded the flight, viewers saw her at the airport departures lounge where she cradled her blossoming baby bump.

However, this week, Fiz spotted Alina at the supermarket. Alina explained that she had been called as witness in the human trafficking trial, and Fiz then spotted a photo of a little boy on Alina’s phone.

Alina sheepishly then left. Certain the boy was actually Tyrone’s son, Fiz headed to the Chariot Square Hotel where Alina was staying. There she told her that she was returning to Romania tomorrow.

Fiz eventually came clean to Tyrone and she Fiz urged him to find Alina himself. However, when he arrived, he was told she’d already checked out.

And while fans reckon Alina’s child is actually Tyrone’s, other viewers are convinced her baby daddy is somebody else.

On a Reddit thread discussing Alina’s child on the soap, one viewer said: “He looks way too old to be Tyrone’s kid??? Imagine if Seb was the dad and she’d been keeping the baby hidden…”

While on a Corrie Facebook fan page, someone else mused: “Do you think Alina’s baby is Tyrone’s?” A third replied: “Didn’t she go with Seb tho?” Another viewer wrote: “That’s true, that would be a good twist!”

Kit Green makes a fresh move next week, and fans of Coronation Street are certain that he is up to no good and somehow connected to Joel Deering.

There have been clues revealed by Coronation Street regarding Kit Green’s future move. After spending decades apart, Bernie Winter recently realized she had been tricked by her long-lost son Kit.

Resenting his biological mother for leaving him when he was a youngster, Kit is attempting to turn Gemma Winter and Paul Foreman against her. Police officer Kit used Lauren Bolton’s missing DNA to frame Nathan Curtis and have him arrested earlier this year; Joel Deering, the true culprit, is still at large.

On Monday (August 5) night, Kit secretly collaborated with criminal Sid and his illicit counterfeit T-shirt business, promising silence in exchange for half the profits. Next week’s spoilers hint at more intrigue surrounding Kit as he moves into Glenda Shuttleworth’s old room at the Rovers pub, recognising its potential as a hub of gossip.

Later in the week, he flirts with Daisy Midgeley as he settles into the Rovers. Meanwhile, Daisy’s love interest, Ryan Connor, admires Kit’s vinyl collection and suggests they go out for a drink.

The question remains: what are Kit’s intentions towards Daisy and Ryan, and why is he moving into the Rovers?

In the upcoming week, Paul, who has been diagnosed with motor neurone disease (MND), is disappointed when Kit fails to join them for a family dinner. Later, Paul plays Kit a message begging him to forgive Bernie for the sake of the family.

Kit stubbornly refuses but when Paul suddenly finds himself struggling for breath, Kit is thrown into panic….

This comes as viewers are convinced that Kit is secretly evil Joel’s accomplice on the cobbles. Viewers will recall that Lauren made a shock comeback last month as Cait Fitton reprised her role.

Weeks on from a brutal attack by Joel, which Weatherfield residents still don’t know about, Lauren, who was believed to be dead, was revealed to be alive as she headed to the hospital to visit Roy Cropper after he suffered a heart attack weeks on from him being wrongly imprisoned for Lauren’s ‘murder’.

And things only got more explosive when Joel confronted Lauren at the hospital, forcing her into a family room and pleading with her not to reveal what happened. As violent and evil Joel went to lash out again, Lauren protected her stomach revealing she was five months pregnant with his baby in a huge bombshell before fleeing the hospital.

Joel has been secretly harbouring Lauren in a vacant flat, making clandestine visits as he plans her move to Ireland. However, Joel’s sinister plot was unveiled last month when he was spotted searching “What drugs can induce premature labour” on his laptop.

Last week, Lauren faced a terrifying ordeal when she was mugged and subsequently collapsed at the flat, with her newborn son now battling for his life in an incubator.

Coronation Street fans have taken to Twitter to share their theories about the storyline. One viewer speculated: “I say Kit is involved more in this Lauren storyline like there’s something odd with him and could be a nice twist like maybe he knows Joel etc and maybe Kit is father of her baby #corrie”.
