These photos highlight Luke Mitchell and Rebecca Breeds as the most successful couple from Home and Away.

”It was absolutely a feeling that we had lived another life together.”

The couple fell in love on the set of Summer Bay in 2009. Luke, 36, played resident charmer Romeo Smith from 2009 to 2013, and Rebecca, 34, played passionate free spirit Ruby Buckton from 2008 to 2012.

The Summer Bay golden couple are now based in the US, along with their adorable dog Alfie.

Luke previously said that falling in love with Bec on Home and Away made his experience on the soap “so special”.

“We certainly spent most of our relationship on the show. And when I finally finished, we were engaged, and then we got married, and then we moved overseas,” he said.

Luke credited Bec her for helping bring him international success after moving to the US.

“I don’t think I could have done what I’ve done overseas if it weren’t for Bec. I’m a very lucky guy,” he told TV WEEK in 2019.

Bec and Luke met in 2009 at a mutual friend’s housewarming. At the time, Luke had just moved to Sydney for his Home And Away gig, while Rebecca was already filming the show in the idyllic Palm beach.

“I felt like I already knew him. It was absolutely a feeling that we had lived another life together,” she previously said of their first meeting.

“I knew immediately after the party that what I had with Luke was that soulmate thing,” Bec said of Luke after they first met at a mutual friend’s house before falling in love on the set of Home and Away.

In 2013, the couple tied the knot in a picturesque wedding in NSW’s Kangaroo Valley Bush Retreat.

They exchanged emotional vows they’d written themselves in front of 70 of their closest friends and family.

“I will be guided by love, not fear. I will take care of you, support you, honour you, listen to you, inspire you… and love you completely forever,” Luke’s wedding vows to Bec read.

“I will be your greatest fan and encouragement, holding your hand and cheering you on through everything,” Bec’s wedding vows to Luke read.

“I will look on the bright side of life. I will trust and honour you as the head of our family and our household. All else will be secondary to our relationship. I will venture into the wilds of this world with you and I will be your safe place of love, into the next world and beyond.”

The couple eventually confirmed they were dating in 2010 following months of speculation about their relationship.

Luke and Bec have been one of the biggest success stories to come out of Home and Away, in terms of both their relationship and lucrative acting gigs they’ve picked up since their time on the show.

The happy couple regularly post loved-up snaps to their combined 830,000 Instagram followers.

Sharing a loved-up selfie of the pair together to commemorate their eighth wedding anniversary earlier this year, Bec penned: “8 years. You are the best thing that ever happened to me. Into the wild and beyond. 💫”

Throwback! Bec and Luke attended the WHO ‘Sexiest People’ Party in 2010, a year after going public with their romance.

“‘Each day is Valentine’s Day’ 🎶 I love you more @lukemitchell17 💕💕💕” Rebecca captioned this throwback travel pic to mark the day of love.

The couple celebrated Valentine’s Day with a game of putt putt golf.

“Nothing says “romance” like a serious game of Putt-Putt…😎⛳️ Happy V Day lovers!! ❤️” Luke captioned this photo.

Rebecca and Luke prove that couples who bake together, stay together!

Luke posted this adorable photo to ring in the new year.

The lovebirds always make the most of their days off together, and recently took a day trip to a vineyard in Santa Ynez, California. “Wine not?” Luke quipped in the caption of this post.

Rebecca took the opportunity to heap praise on Luke for his 37th birthday in April.

“Happy Birthday to my favourite! A better human does not exist. I love you. 🥳🤩💙” she captioned this loved-up post.

They’re co-stars again! In April 2022, Luke landed a recurring role on The Originals spinoff Legacies – the same series Rebecca Breeds is currently starring in.

And it seems the husband and wife will cross paths while shooting the hit series. When Luke spoke with TVLine, he said it was “super fun” to be working with Rebecca again.

“We may have a couple of scenes together, maybe I’ve said too much, but there are a few interactions between our characters,” he teased.

“She’s playing a 1,000-year-old vampire and I’m playing an all-powerful god — just slightly different from our real-life relationship. Just a touch.”

Here’s to many more blissful years together!

The pair almost look unrecognisable as they go in incognito mode in Portugal.

“Just a couple of Portuguese Tarts,” Luke captioned the image.

After permanently leaving the cobbles, a legendary member of Coronation Street has said that she is eager to join rival soap opera EastEnders.

The role that made Beverley Callard most famous was that of the brash bartender Liz McDonald on the ITV serial opera Coronation Street.

The star was last seen parading around Weatherfield in June 2020 and has not step foot back in Manchester ever since.

Whilst Beverley has remained busy off-screen including with a stint in I’m A Celebrity, the actress is now keen to get her hands on a big acting role with the BBC soap firmly in her sights.

Beverley, 67, recently wowed as she revealed her brand new acting headshots in a bid to find more work.

The actress let her curly hair flow as she showed off her youthful complexion in the stunning photos.

Captioning the pics, Beverley said: “New headshots first time in years! Thank you @yellowbellyfoto for making it so easy.”

One fan quickly noted her resemblance to iconic EastEnders character Angie Watts which prompted them to quip that Bev could take on a role connected to her in the soap.

They said to the soap siren: “These are to submit to the BBC so they can introduce you in EastEnders as Angie Watts long lost sister, right?”

Confirming that she would absolutely take on the role, Bev replied to the fan: “Yes!! I’d do it.”

The possible Albert Square appearance would actually not be the first time that Bev strutted into Walford.

She played her Corrie character Liz McDonald in a special crossover episode for Children in Need back in 2010.

Written as entirely fictional stand-alone episode, Liz was revealed to be Kat Slater’s mother in a shock twist.

Ten years later, Liz re-appeared in a second charity special episode, this time for Comic Relief.

The cast of EastEnders held a lockdown pub quiz online and Liz mistakenly joined the Zoom link when trying to host the Rovers own online quiz.

Fans fretted for Toyah’s fate

Spoilers for Coronation Street fans are afraid that Toyah Battersby, who had surgery last night to treat her ovarian cancer, will die in the operating room due to complications. Following Toyah’s diagnosis, medical professionals raced her to the hospital, where they are getting ready to perform surgery.

Nick helped Toyah at the hospital while sister Leanne, at Rowan’s request, stepped back to focus on her responsibilities with the Institute. Additionally, Nick waited outside for updates as she underwent surgery.

News which, when it came, wasn’t good. The doctor informed Nick that there had been complications during the surgery. As Toyah’s life hung in the balance, Nick called Leanne – who rushed to her sister’s side, at last.

As Toyah lay, heavily sedated in the hospital bed, Leanne re-iterated her love for Nick, apparently beginning to realise how distant she had been.

“EastEnders Star Visibly ‘Distressed’ on Celebrity PopMaster as Co-Star Criticizes”

DJ Mista Jam deliberately teased Richard Blackwood on Channel 4’s latest music quiz show, Celebrity PopMaster, hosted by radio broadcaster Ken Bruce. This infuriated Blackwood.

On Celebrity PopMaster, an EastEnders star showed signs of being “upset” after his co-star played a sly joke on him.

Ken Bruce’s new TV version of the iconic radio game included Richard Blackwood, DJ Mista Jam, singer Toyah Willcox, and former Coronation Street star Sally Lindsay. However, a query about a Bob Marley music video caused tension.

Richard knew the answer from the first clue, but as it was Mista Jam’s question, wasn’t allowed to answer. And it appeared Jam had no idea what the track was – leaving Richard outraged and waving his hands in the air.

Jam, who was leading the bunch in points, admitted: “See, this is before my time.” Richard looked gobsmacked as host Ken remarked: “Some real surprise reactions there!”

Jam then said: “I just quite like the fact that I’m really upsetting Richard, so can I go for three points?” With the next clue revealed, Jam was finally about to guess, going for Bob Marley’s One Love (People Get Ready). With Richard gesticulating beside her, Sally fumed: “I don’t think that’s helping, Richard!”

Richard appeared to agree with his answer, but it proved incorrect. He admitted: “I thought that… Do you know what, is it Is This Love?”

Richard was finally correct – but the EastEnders star, best known for playing Vincent Hubbard in the BBC soap, was still first to be knocked out with just six points.

Things became even more tense once it was revealed that Richard’s famous sister Naomi Campbell starred in the music video for the track in question.

Ken thankfully had the rights to his PopMaster show after leaving BBC for Greatest Hits Radio, and confirmed: “I thought about protecting the name PopMaster a few years ago. I asked somebody at the BBC if they wanted to come in on it, and they said, ‘nah,’ so I just trademarked it myself, so it became mine and my colleagues’.”
